The Roundtable Perspective
The Roundtable Perspective is a dynamic collegiate television program produced collaboratively by students and faculty within the Department of Communication and Creative Arts at Purdue University Northwest. My role involved designing weekly flyers and monthly posters to effectively promote the show's upcoming episodes. Each design was crafted to be visually engaging and compelling, utilizing bold typography to draw the eye, striking color contrasts to create visual interest, and dynamic compositions to enhance the overall aesthetic. By combining these elements, I aimed to capture the essence of the show and attract a broader audience to its thought-provoking content.
Musical Theater Marketing
These projects were developed to promote theatrical productions for my former high school, Wheeler High School. One notable project focused on the beloved musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." This initiative featured designs tailored explicitly for various promotional materials, including the show shirts, bag tickets, the Playbill, and an eye-catching poster. Each design was carefully crafted to capture the essence of the characters and themes from the show, thereby enhancing audience engagement and immersion.
Another project centered around the enchanting play "Winnie the Pooh." For this production, I created designs for the show's merchandise, including custom T-shirts, tickets, and a vibrant poster. The designs aimed to reflect the whimsical nature of A.A. Milne's beloved stories, appealing to both children and adults alike, and fostering excitement for the performance. Each element was thoughtfully designed to create a cohesive visual identity for the play.
Music Artist Poster
This vibrant poster showcases the talented music artist Jackson Wang, capturing his dynamic energy and artistic vision. The back of the poster features the titles of his album, each presented with a striking shaky effect that reflects the creativity and intensity of his music. This design not only enhances the visual appeal but also immerses viewers in the essence of Jackson Wang's artistic journey.
Puerto Rico Brochure
This brochure showcases the enchanting island of Puerto Rico, emphasizing its rich culture, stunning landscapes, and vibrant attractions. I carefully integrated the colors of the Puerto Rican flag—red, white, and blue—into the design elements to create a cohesive and visually appealing representation of the island's spirit. From the lush rainforests of El Yunque to the historic streets of Old San Juan, each page invites readers to explore the diverse experiences that await them on this captivating Caribbean destination.
Roronoa Zoro Typography
This captivating image of Roronoa Zoro has been intricately crafted using a diverse array of letters, symbols, and memorable quotes from the beloved anime and manga series One Piece. Each element in the design not only contributes to the visual representation of Zoro, the skilled swordsman and devoted crew member of the Straw Hat Pirates, but also reflects the complexity of his character and the rich narrative of the series. The careful arrangement of these textual components evokes a sense of adventure and camaraderie, showcasing Zoro's unwavering dedication to his dreams and his friends.
After Effects: Design Thinking
This project is an engaging MP3 video that delves into the principles of design thinking, masterfully created using After Effects. The video features a vibrant, cartoonish style that is specifically tailored for classroom teaching, making complex concepts more accessible and enjoyable for students. With dynamic animations and visually appealing graphics, it aims to capture the audience's attention while effectively conveying the essential stages of the design thinking process. This resource is ideal for educators seeking to inspire creativity and innovation in their classrooms.
